Have you ever had something take a LOT longer than you expected? I have.
I started a book in December of 2010. Thinking I was done, I asked for some help with cover design on March 16th.
Even with the simple cover (for the Kindle version) done, I didn't really want to say "Published!" as several people have told me they only read physical books.
So I hired some help, and subscribed to a couple of software programs, and that did it.
Then I bought a copy to check to cover, and I guess I can say it now. Published.
It's available on Amazon. And for those who do like to read eBooks, it's also available on Kindle Unlimited at no additional charge.
Otherwise the eBook is $2.99 and the paperback is $9.95. At those prices I make less than 30 cents for the paperback and just over a dollar for the eBook.
That's fine though, as the goal at this point is to get some readers and some reviews.
Like any book, it's not for everybody. I think it belongs in the Christian fiction category, and is most likely to appeal to those who are spiritually inclined or spiritually curious.
My guess as to a second group that may like it is those who just like a story that’s not the same as a dozen other’s they’ve already read.
If you're interested, but careful about spending (like me!), please feel free to ask any questions you might have.
Thanks!
Tim
PS Did I mention how important the reviews are?
Dear Mr. Pallies,
I just bought the paperback version of your book from Amazon. As soon as I saw the cover photo of the Falls, I knew I needed to learn more about the story itself. Its first two chapters hooked me. All this by clicking on your profile at Bonner Private Research, where you were kind enough to "like" one of my recent posts!
I'm a Cornell grad, Class of 1969, as is my elder daughter, Class of 2001. I grew up in Olean, NY, about 100 miles west of Trumansburg.
May I ask for your preferred e-mail address? Mine is eadealan@gmail.com.
Best regards,
