I just bought the paperback version of your book from Amazon. As soon as I saw the cover photo of the Falls, I knew I needed to learn more about the story itself. Its first two chapters hooked me. I'm a Cornell grad, Class of 1969, as is my elder daughter, Class of 2001. I grew up in Olean, NY, about 100 miles west of Trumansburg.

Thanks for giving my book a shot! I hope you like it. I laughed as I read your note, because after reading a ton of advice on covers (which all seemed to point in a different direction), I went with the falls picture anyway.
Is Olean as pretty as so much of upstate NY? My wife and I have a vacation coming up soon and in addition to the Ithaca/Trumansburg area we are planning to stay in Watkins Glen and Canandaigua as well. Maybe next time we'll go further west.
I fell in between your daughter and you, geaduating in 1982. Does it seem to you like so much has changed on campus?
